“276bhp? Is that many?” – That is what Dude Public said about the Evora when it arrived. Well yes, its energy was a bit lower compared to a 325i repair M3 – but this 2+2 Lotus weighed 300kg less, so seemed to be as nimble as a good ice skater. Mid engined balance, combined using 4 seat practicality, using gorgeous looks thrown set for good measure meant that Lotus overcame its minimal power to win a lot of driver’s car of the year awards.
But little do we know that Lotus had a trick upward its sleeve – a Supercharger. The Evora Ohydrates keeps the 3.five litre V6, but adds a Supercharger to boost power to 345bhp, that when they are combined with the easy fold makes the Evora S into a true Supercar slayer. The awesome handling and high electrical power allows the little White lotus to run rings throughout the competition.
Lotus also recently poached some of Germany’s best engineers through Porsche, Mercedes and Audi so the high quality, reliability and interior suit and finish is greatly improved. What we get is a supercar this is the equal of any Hayundai, Audi R8 or BMW M-car. And additionally, it looks fantastic..
