It was as inescapable as the coming upon winter, so no-a single was surprised when Audi released details with the V8 powered Audi R8 Spyder. Doesn’t help it become any less desirable even though…
The R8 V10 Spyder is one individuals favourite cars here on BOTB News. But in £125,000 it’azines quite an expensive machine (road test coming soon). Considering the fact that the coupe has a new 4.2 litre V8 engine, it wasn’t too hard to imagine that they would certainly offer the Spyder in a V8 format eventually, after the V10 hype had perished down.
And Audi haven’t disappointed, with the discharge of info and costs today. The V8 motor is still at four.2 litres, but gains a little more energy. The revised V8 serp now produces 424bhp from 7900rpm and 317lb foot between 4500rpm and 6000rpm. Audi claims three months per cent of this specific torque is available coming from 3000rpm and between 6000rpm and 7500rpm.
With all the standard six-speed guide gearbox, the R8 Spyder V8 gets coming from 0-62mph in four.8sec; the six-speed S tronic automated manual gearbox’s (a £5310 option) 0-62mph time is the same. Both have a best speed of 186mph.
The automobile gets the same ceiling mechanism as the V10, and is differentiated externally by brand-new wheels from the RS5 coupe, the entry grille has a dark-colored finish instead of chrome, and at the back the exhausts have dual circular outlets at either sides instead of the V10′s single ovals.
